Greetings,
The NH State Veterans Cemetery has recently updated their policy in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic and the amount of guests present for interment services. With this update the NH Patriot Guard Riders will begin resuming normal operations effective Monday, June 8th to coincide with the NHSVC’s new policy.
Also to coincide with the NHSVC’s latest policy update all members of the NH PGR that will be attending a service at the NHSVC will be expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
- The flag line and all participants within the flag line will setup further from the family that is typical. This will allow for greater space between the guests attending and our own members.
- Flag line spacing should be at least 6 feet between flag bearers.
- All participants are required to wear a face covering.
- Participants are required to adhere to all social distancing recommendations in regards to the cemetery staff, families and guests. Please use your own best judgement when in the pre or post briefing.
- Sanitizing wipes for the flags is recommended.
- The NHSVC admin building and chapel are still closed to the public. The outside restrooms are open.
- Last but not least in regards to these guidelines all participants are to follow the direction and guidance of the NHSVC staff.
I hope everyone stayed safe and continues to stay safe and as always if at any time you have any questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact me directly.
Respectfully,
Nick Marks
