The NH Veterans Home in Tilton is in need of some volunteers to help out with some events they have coming up in March. If you are able to assist with any of the following events please contact Patty Copeland, Supervisor of Volunteer Activities at patricia.copeland@nhvh.nh.gov or at 603.527.4449

Sunday March 10th – 1:15 to approx. 6:30. We need 1 volunteer to assist staff on a trip to see a Monarchs game.  The game starts at 3:00pm so the return time is not set in stone. Dinner will be supplied at the game for all residents/staff/volunteer.  The volunteers job will be to assist with getting the residents on and off the bus and transported into the game. The volunteer will also help to serve the residents their meals.

 

Friday March 15th – 1:30pm to 4:00 pm. We need up 10 volunteers to assist with a St. Paddy’s Day parade and party (inside the Home) Duties will include transporting residents to the TDR where they will have themed attire for the residents to don themselves in with the help of volunteers and staff. @ 2:00pm we need assistance with transporting the residents from the TDR to the Great Room where there will be music and snacks. We would love the volunteers to stay and join in on the festivities with residents as it always brightens their day. After the party we need assistance transporting the residents back to their rooms.

 

Tuesday March 26th – 6:15pm to approx. 10:30pm. – We need 1 volunteer to assist staff on a trip to the Capitol Center for the Arts to see the US Army Field Band. The volunteers job will be to assist with getting the residents on and off the bus and transported into the concert.

 

Friday March 29th – 6:00pm -10:30pm. We need 1 volunteer to assist staff on a trip to the Franklin Opera House to see Singing in the Rain. The volunteers job will be to assist with getting the residents on and off the bus and transported into the concert.
